Nope. Most prefer to tan in a bikini or nude to avoid tan lines, a swimsuit is also preferred for an effective tanning session.
At least 18, to be able to tan, minors are not allowed to use UV tanning services.
There must be at least a 24 hour gap between small sessions, it is advised to take 48 hours break before another session for safer tanning and so it causes least damage to the skin. Two to three session a week is enough to see the results.
Healthy moisturized skin is observed to keep tan for longer, apply lotion and avoid scrubbing too much on especially dry skin, exfoliating before the tanning session helps to get better lasting results.
The accelerators or indoor tanning lotions are to aid the production of melanin in the skin which help to make the tanning almost twice as effective and long lasting.
In case of pregnancy, the heat emitting from tanning beds may cause a nuisance by causing nausea or discomfort, we advise you to consult a doctor. Breastfeeding women can also tan since tan doesn’t get absorbed deeper than the epidermis of the skin.
As mentioned above, tanbeds have excess heat radiating within, which could cause dryness and irritation in the eye, hence, protective eyewear is vital during tanning.
